Lebanese Makloubi With Meat


Tomatoes (Finely Cut in Rounds) 2
Egg Plants( finely cut in Rounds) 2
Cauliflower (Separate Flowers) 1/2 kg
Rice (Soaked) 2 cups
almonds 3 tbsp
Pine Nuts 2 tbsp
Salt 2 tbsp
Clarified Butter 4 tbsp
Meat Ingredients:
Mutton 1 kg
Onion (Finely Cut) 1
Cinnamon powder 1/2 tbsp
Cinnamon  2 sticks
Nutmeg Powder 1/2 tbsp
Black Pepper Powder 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder 1 tbsp
Bay Leaves 2
Water 5 cups
olive Oil 4 tbsp


Cook all mutton ingredients in a pot till meat becomes tender.
Strain the stock; shred meat; keep both aside.
Par-boil rice; strain; keep aside.
Layer a pot with egg plates, tomatoes, and cauliflowers.
Add salt in stock and add to pot; and rice meat clarified butter, almonds and pine nuts; and cover it for 5 minutes on low flame.
Serve with ketchup or yogurt.
