Lahori Naan Khatai


Refined Flour (sieved) 225 grams
Gram Flour (sieved) 56 grams
Castor Sugar 168 grams
Baking Powder 2 tbsp
Baking Soda 1/2 tbsp
Green Cardamoms (ground) 1 tbsp
Almonds (roasted and cut) to taste
Egg Whites 2
Clarified Butter 196 grams


Whip clarified butter, sugar, and cardamoms in a bowl till frothy.
Add almonds and keep aside.
Sieve flour, baking powder, gram flour and baking soda in a bowl.
Add to butter; knead into dough.
Roll out into rounds with a round cutter.
Brush oil on an oven tray; place rounds on it; brush egg on them.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 190°C for 15 minutes; remove
Served with tea or as you like.
